When middle-aged taxi driver Lao Shi (Chen Gang) accidentally hits a man, the event starts a downward spiral of cruel misfortune and bitter irony. Denied insurance because he tried to save the man's life, Lao Shi attempts to take responsibility yet courts financial and personal ruin.
